My personal connection to Beagles began just over three years ago, when I first encountered this extraordinary breed. Instead, I committed to extensive research: studying the official breed standard (both FCI and KUSA interpretations), learning about common health concerns like hip dysplasia, epilepsy, and eye conditions, exploring genetics and pedigree analysis, and understanding best practices for socialization, nutrition, and early development.

During this time, I reached out to established breeders and was fortunate to connect with Chris Hartman of Chrisbe Beagles. When I first saw his dogs in person—beautifully structured, sound-moving, healthy, and brimming with classic Beagle character—I knew I had found the right path forward. Chris’s dedication to quality, ethical breeding, and breed improvement was inspiring. I am deeply grateful that he agreed to mentor me, sharing his years of experience, advice on selection, whelping, and show preparation. His guidance has been instrumental in helping Tamboeckey Beagles get off to a strong, principled start.
